Visual Diary: Food Festival 2018

rhidixonblog lifestyle blogger food festival 2018

I’ve been attending the Cardiff Bay food and Drink Festival for the past four years and each one has ended disastrously. Either I’ve been left on my own or someone (not directing this at anyone in particular (I am)) would purposely go out of their damn way to ruin the whole day for not just me but for my parents too. This is the first time I’ve ever attended the event single, and I had the best time!!

We ate and ate and ate!!! I ate the most expensive macaroon I’ve ever had (£1) and I had some really lovely Paella. I’ve been craving Paella for such a long time and it was absolutely delicious!! I really need to learn how to make a good paella. One thing I’m going to do once I have moved into this new house is to learn how to cook healthy, delicious meals.

I also had some pineapple and mango ice cream. Pineapple ice cream is my absolute favourite flavour of ice cream in the whole entire universe!! It even beats Turkish Delight. It reminds me of when I was little and Leah Davies, Lauren Jenkins and others (I can’t remember you all I’m afraid) and myself were constantly playing in the Country Park. What a time to be alive.

To take home I bought myself a big sausage roll which I devoured within minutes of consumption. Recently my relationship with food as taken a not so pleasant turn. I’m the biggest I’ve ever been in three years and I know it’s to do with my diet. So once I’ve moved into my new place (which I cannot wait to show you by the way) I’m going to start being a lot lot healthier with my food. I want to cook meals from scratch and watch my figure a lot more. I also want to try veganism for at least a month just to see if I can do it, if I can I might adopt that lifestyle and maybe treat myself to a cheeseboard now and then!

All in all, a lovely lovely day!!
