Visual Diary: Jinkx Monsoon

On June 10th Katrin and I went to see the last but one Drag Queen we’re seeing this (for the time being) and we went to see the one and only Jinkx Monsoon, one of the winners of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.

I hold a special place in my heart for Jinkx Monsoon as she was the first Queen I ever saw winning Drag Race. She had a bit of a horrible time due to being constantly bullied by contestant Roxxy Andrews but she still one!! She is an amazing queen!

ESDR were the one who held the show and I knew it was going to be a good night. Emily Meow who is the production assistant at ESDR also held the BenDeLaCreme show and that was amazing! You can follow Emily Meow on her Instagram.

Opening the show was Brighton Drag Prince Alfie Ordinary who was absolutely hilarious!! He managed to get all of Glee Club to sing ‘Any dream Will Do’ by the West End show Joseph and his Technicolour Dream Coat’. He too was also wearing a technicolour dream coat on stage. I should’ve mentioned that earlier. He asked us all to put our mobile torches on like lighters. It was such a lovely moment.

After a quick interval Miss Monsoon makes her entrance and she looks amazing. Her curves were insane and her waist was soo synched. Stunning! She sang a cover of Britney Spear’s Oops I did it Again and, honest to God, it sounded like heaven. Jinkx has such a sultry, sexy voice and it improved that song soo much!!

Her show was about her love life and it was incredibly honest, graphic and downright funny!! It was an eye-opener for me and took home some valuable lessons as well as how to douche on a budget.

She hugged Katrin! She went round the Glee Club and came around to the back where we were and gave her a nice reassuring during her performance of ‘You really Got a Hold on Me’.

Lucky bitch.

Amazing night and definitely one of my favourite Drag Shows so far! Next up: Alaska Thunderfuck!!
