Vlog: Num Noms Unboxing

If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you will now that I have a slight obsession with Num Noms. A kids toy (judge all you like, they’re cute!!) Num Noms can be seen plastered all over Youtube!! You will find them lurking in many unboxing videos and being the mainstream geek girl as I am, I made my first Num Noms unboxing video (please excuse the bad quality, I’m still learning).

What are Num Noms?
The official description is that “Nums are the outer, soft, squishy, hollow characters that nest on top of Noms. Noms are the inner, hard-shelled characters that are either motorized to scoot around, or filled with flavored lip gloss.” Their world looks like it could take place within your kitchen cabinets or pantry – a place where food  is up for fun, and “a recipe for mischief.” Each Num and Nom is named  and has a specific profile. Kids can craft their own “recipes” by mixing and matching their Num Noms.

In the video I opened a Series 2 as well as a Series 3 Num Noms. There are many categories in each series so it’s best for me to go straight to it!!

With my Series 2 unboxing the Num I got was…

Nana Puffs!!
She is such a vibrant Num!! Her smell is incredibly pungent!! I’m not a big fan of the smell of banana I always find it to be too strong!! Nana Puffs falls under the Fair Food Nums along with Cara Mellie, Annie Apple, Pinky Puffs, Sugar Puffs, Berry Puffs and Papa Corn. Turns out that Nana Puffs is a special edition Num along with Momma Corn!! I’m always lucky when it comes to these Nums, I always end up getting the special edition!!

The Series 2 Nom I got was…

Cucumber Gloss-up
I’m in love with this shade of lime and I love the fact these two have been paired up!! They were great to photograph together due to their colours! Cucumber Gloss-up comes under the Gloss-up Noms category which also include Cotton Candy, Bubbly, Berrylicious, S’mores, Cola, Nilla, Berry and Cherry.

For my Series 3 Num I got….

Sparkle Mellie
Okay, it took me a good 15 minutes trying to find her on the checklist, reason being she doesn’t look anything like she does on the bloody checklist. She is much darker due to the blending of the colours. Slightly disappointed with this one. I can take it or leave it. Sparkle Mellie falls under the Candy Nums category along with Suzy Stripes, Sugar Stripes, Courtney Candy, Candy hearts, Tina Tangerine, Rockie and Berry, Crystal W. Berry, Nana Hearts, Lily Lemony, Gabby Grape, Peyton Peppermint, Mia Mango, Brooklyn Blue, Swirls Lolly, and also the special edition Rainbow Pop.

For my Series 3 Nom I got…

Van-Berry Gloss-up
I love the shade but meh. Van-Berry Gloss up is a 2 flavoured gloss-up and falls under the same category as many other (I’ll be here forever if I named them all).

I’ll be honest this unboxing was a slight hit-and-miss for me. I loved my first Num Noms but the second unboxing didn’t live up to expectations!! I have bought more so hopefully a better unboxing next time!!

  1. I really enjoyed this post 🙂 I am a fellow lover of blind boxes containing adorable little ‘kids’ toys. I love how excited you were unboxing your Num Noms on your video, haha. These are super cute!! I can’t believe I’ve never seen them before. I love how you get two cuties for the price of one! My favourite of the two is your Series 2 one… the colours are so vibrant & cheerful. Great photos too! I’ve now added Num Noms to my wishlist 😀 x
