As part of Dan’s Birthday week him and I got the bus to London for a few days away. This was our first mini break together in 2017 and it was long overdue. Of course when Dan and I went a day or two after the attack so everyone was going about their day but obviously everyone was on high alert and there were policemen and police vans everywhere. I’ve never felt so safe.

Day One: Shopping
I managed to book us an amazing hotel in Blackfriars which was literally twenty minutes away (by Underground) to all the main sites. The Hotel was called Ibis Blackfriars and I cannot recommend it enough! The services is top notch and the rooms themselves are clean with all the requirements. There was also a restaurant and a bar which closed around 1 a.m. but the best thing about this hotel is it’s location! After settling in we ventured out to find Forbidden Planet which is our favourite geek store. I bought one or two from there which I shall be showing you in a vlog haul soon! Afterwards we made our way to Oxford Street in search for my favourite London Yo Sushi hangout. After what took forever to find it, it was closed. Shit. We had to walk all the way to Baker Street to the nearest Yo Sushi. With our stomachs happy and content, we retreated back to the Hotel.

Day 2 – Camden and Regent Park + Seeing Cat
Dan has never been to Camden properly before (well, not when everything was open) so I was really excited to show him all the food stalls and weird vintage shops. We also stopped by my favourite haunt Cyberdog. If you ever find yourself in London and in the Camden area definitely pop into Cyberdog. The only rave shop I know that has it’s own in store DJ. We had a good look around and then decided to venture somewhere else and we headed to Regents Park. Whenever I’m in London I tend to just shop so it was refreshing to do something different for a change. Regent’s Park is beautiful and I had such a great day!! I think next time I head to London I will definitely visit some other parks!! We were going to see Catrin in Shoreditch at eight o’ clock and we had the best time. It was nice for Cat and Dan to finally meet AND I got to see her for the third time in one year!! That’s a lot for us!!

Part two coming soon.
