One of Dan’s 32nd present was a trip to Chester Zoo. I was crossing my fingers for some nice weather, but we were told it was going to rain and OH MY GOD IT RAINED SO BLOODY MUCH!!! I couldn’t take as many photos as I liked because I was worried my camera might get wet, so if there was any dry gaps I snapped away!!

I haven’t been to Chester Zoo in years and it has changed soo much!! It holds bears now and are expecting even more species next year!! Even though I’m not the biggest zoo fan, Chester Zoo is different. The pens are huge and they really do care about the animals and their environment. They do a lot in the of conservation and they always find new ways to improve the zoo. Even the duck pens are bigger than what you get in your usual zoos.

My favourite attraction has to be the Twilight Zone. Inside bats fly freely around you and they always fly soo close. Being the massive child that I am I went in twice, once with Dan and once with my dad. Dad tried to pull a trick on me which resulted in me slapping him so hard across the chest (I have incredible reflexes).

Dan favourite animal is the capybara. So we spent a good ten minutes looking at them. That was fun. To be fair the zoo has tonnes of cute little new arrivals including a tiny little capybara. That was adorable.

The reptile house has changed dramatically since I visited last. They do not have as many reptiles as usual and couldn’t for the life of me find the King Cobra. We didn’t end up seeing all the animals which is a shame but we still had a fun, if not wet day.
