It’s Funko Friday yet again and this week I’m bringing you this adorable little Funko of Minnie Mouse that I received in my Pop in a Box Subscription box.
Pop in a box is a monthly subscription box that allows you to grow your Funko Pop collection by providing you with Funko Pops that you most certainly do not have in your collection. In order for this to happen you need to create an account. On your profile you will have categories such as ‘manage collection’ and ‘wishlist’ along with many other, but these two I found to be the most helpful.
Minnie Mouse is number 23 in the Disney Funko Pop series. Funko is well known for creating an array of Disney Funko Pop, with 298 to collect in total! Of course you can collect Mickey Mouse as well as Steamboat Willie. There is also an exclusive metallic Steamboat Willie to collect also. Minnie is also part of the second wave of Disney Funko Pops that were released. Other second wave characters include Lotso (Toy Story 3), George Sanderson, Jack Skellington, Sally, Mr incredible, Syndrome, Jessie, Boo, Belle, The beast, Minnie herself and Steamboat Willie.
Minnie Mouse is a funny animal cartoon character created by Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney. She and Mickey Mouse were first drawn by Iwerks in 1928 and as you can see from my Funko Pop she’s adorable! Even though she is now known for her red polka dot attire, she is donning a pink polka dot outfit on the Funko!
The paintwork just makes the cut. It’s not as sloppy as I’ve had with previous funko’s I’ve had but at the same time it’s not perfect. She is slightly smaller than my other Funko’s which makes her even cuter!!! The colour of her bow is also slightly darker than her dress and I can see one or two black smudges. She stands up well by herself and she doesn’t require a stand either. I’m surprised they’ve only released one Minnie Mouse Funko Pop, as she has so many other great outfits!! We’ll just have to wait and see!
