Back in early April I was asked to photograph Mossies Fashion Show back home and I had such a blast! Not only did I have to photograph the event itself but I also had to take outfit shots too, something I haven’t done in a very long time!

If you’ve been following me since the beginning you would know that I started off rhidixonblog.com as a fashion and lifestyle blog but my tastes begin to change as well as finding a photographer proved impossible so I ended up becoming a geek blogger instead (which suits me just fine).

I was definitely out of practice with the first outfits. I felt a bit rusty and finding a good location was somewhat difficult as times. Even looking at the images now a month later I can still see my mistakes and where I need to improve and how I could’ve improved these images.

We we’re taking the images in between fashion shows so timing was key, we had to be quick and dilly dallying was certainly a no-no. There were (I think) over 25 outfits so as you can see I had a lot of work to do!

The outfits themselves were beautiful as well as the models. They made me feel completely at ease which makes the job ten times easier! I hope that I’ll get to do it again one day, next time though I’ll be better prepared!!
