On Wednesday 5th April I was asked to be the photographer for Mossies Fashion Show, a charitable event held in the Stradey Park Hotel and it was so much fun!! Unlike most fashion shows I’ve been to, the models were walking around the tables, showcasing the outfits, with prices ready for anyone who was interested in a certain outfit. It wasn’t just outfits they were showcasing but also accessories such as handbags, jewellery and scarves.
Mossies is one of my mothers favourite shops so I was more than delighted to be asked to photograph the event. I haven’t done much fashion photography in a while. Since my dysphraxia makes it slightly difficult to articulate my thoughts on what I would like the models to do, so I felt a bit rusty but once I got into the swing of it I throughly enjoyed myself.
The outfits themselves were gorgeous and I could see which one my mother had an eye for (Christmas this year is sorted), to be fair she was making it pretty obvious which ones she fancied. There were 5 outfit changes and six models so I was running around ragged with both cameras trying to take some still images while also practicing my filming (all of which will be done in the upcoming weeks).
A big thank you to Melanie and Andrew for asking me to do the photography for them. I’m very grateful to you both. Here’s hoping for more collaborations in the future!
