Here is the third and final part of my trip to Tokyo.
Asakusa was where our hotel was situated and there was so much to see and to do!! The Senji Temple attracts visitors every day and it’s beautiful!! On saturday the place is lined with food stalls and you can literally buy anything!! Tower Hill is also an amazing place to shop and I bought myself a cute jumper from the clothing brand Punyus. Asakusa is beautiful at nighttime, when all the shutters are down on the shops their painted to resemble ol’ traditionsl East Asian art.
The food in Tokyo is glorious. So many cute cafes with beautiful looking cakes, as well as restaurants where you had to cook your own food. To be honest that restaurant was pretty grim, since my Dad and I know how to cook fish probably, let along living snails. Turns out we ate one or two things raw. Grim, I know.
Shinjuku and Harajuku
There isn’t much I can really say about these two since we didn’t really know what to do there. We tried to find the Robot Cabaret but we just couldn’t find. I hope to explore these places more in September.
Tokyo City is the place of Sky Scrapers! You spend most of your time looking up!! We had a little walk around and decided to head to the Imperial Gardens where I took a ton of floral images. I cannot wait to show you!!
We decided to go on a little adventure and I we found some blooming Cherry Blossoms!! How lucky are we. Some were just starting to flower since on the 23rd it’ll be cherry blossom season!! I doubt I would ever be able to afford to go to Tokyo during Cherry Blossom season but I feel lucky I got to see some!!
I loved my holiday and I feel so lucky i got to live out my dream with my Dad and I get to live it out again my best friend and housemate next September. I feel energised and more focused than ever since coming back. The holiday blues haven’t really set. I’m still on a high from it all.
Until September guys!!
