Every year in the month of July Cardiff always holds a Food and Drink Festival for the whole weekend. Local welsh businesses all come together and feed us greedy welshies their finest welsh produce. From massive brick sized brownies to some spicy Indian cuisine, the Cardiff Food and Drink Festival has it all!
Unfortunately I was there for less than 45 minutes ( I planned to spend the whole day there, taste testing everything in sight) but I only managed to taste test a whisky cheese slice and only have half of my Asian dish before hindrance presented himself!
There was everything you could ever dream of (food wise that is). I wished I’d had the chance to try the gourmet burgers as well as some of the pulled pork! For my dish I ordered from the company Yum Yum who specialise in Asian Cuisine. I had a box of noodles with salt and pepper chicken, and honey chicken. I do love a sweet taste to my chicken and I absolutely love caramel chicken!! It’s my favourite!! Unfortunately they didn’t have it, but the honey chicken was a delicious substitute. It’s such a shame I wasn’t given the time to finish it.
I always love the atmosphere at these events, always so positive and happy. Everyone is welcomed at the Food Festival. Young and old and including our four legged friends. It’s a fun day out for everyone around. The mood was particularly upbeat this time round due to the Euro 2016 final.
I hope you enjoyed my post!
