Floral Photography Portfolio #4

Before I started blogging I was photographer by degree and trade. Floral photography being my favourite style of photography. When I was younger it was always about fashion but Floral Photography became my niche while my fashion photography deteriorated when my interest started to fade.

I still love Fashion Photography but more in the form of observing rather than taking. I still do images for my blog but that’s for fun and not to be taken seriously, while my Floral photography is strong and improves with every year.

I would love to one day exhibit my images but choosing the right images may be a bit difficult at the moment. I have over 1000+ Floral images in my portfolio and my lecturer told me that 20 max you should have for a physical one. Choosing will take time that I currently do not have.

I have find Floral Photography to be a very stress-free form of photography but limited. It’s stress-free since I do not need to depend on people and because of my dyspraxia, arrangement and structuring the image as I see it in my head proves to be sometimes difficult. With Floral Photography you still need to think of structure but there is undoubtedly less pressure.

Finding finance from these images is very difficult since the competition is large however it is my goal at some point to at least sell one image. I would then feel as if I accomplished something with my degree even if it is a tiny minuscule accomplishment. It’ still an accomplishment after all.

I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoyed taking them. Any comments and critiques are welcomed. The more honest you are the better I can improve.  There will be more coming in the near future so stayed tuned.

  1. Beautiful photos! You are very talented 🙂 My favourite photographs on this post are the bluebells (I love how you’ve taken the photo from a ground level, it looks awesome!) and the 2nd to last photograph 🙂 it’s very bright! I also love nature/floral photography! It’s definitely my favourite and the area of my photography that I feel most proud of.
