Since Christmas and the constant binge eating, sugar has kicked my sweet tooth engines into overdrive and I’m searching far and wide around the Cardiff area to find a coffee shop, or any eatery that can satisfy this new found sugar craving.

After walking around searching for what seemed like forever I finally found a place that I have never tried before: Kaspas. Kaspas is a chain of  new dessert houses that offer your favourite hot and cold desserts, for any occasion. Their menu has an array of dessert choices from yummy scrummy gelatos of every and any flavour, to waffles with all the trimmings as well as crepes, milkshakes, smoothies, sundaes, bubble tea and coke floats! Yum yum yum!! All of their products are no GM, they’re suitable for vegetarians, handmade and imported from Italy (which we all know is the home of ice cream) and they contain no artificial preservatives.

The atmosphere in Kaspas is very relaxed and friendly. If you feel like socialising, hanging out with friends or even that casual birthday get together, I highly recommend Kaspas. The design is black and pink which I love, they also have glitter everywhere!! It is a bit dark inside but pleasant none the less and the seats uber uber comfy!

We settle down nicely and given the menus. The dessert options before us are endless, I’m having hard time deciding what to get until I see it in the waffle section of the menu – A peanut butter waffle. I can’t seem to find it on the menu online but it’s a hot waffle with peanut butter and chocolate poured all over it with diced banana slices. While my mate had the brownie covered waffle, which for some reason again isn’t on there online menu.

My dessert was exactly what the sweet tooth doctor ordered. I only started eating peanut butter last year and it’s soo addictive and when added with banana on a waffle it tastes ten time better again! I also got myself a bubble tea which tasted amazing but very very sugary, I felt my teeth rotting straight away from it. It was a pleasant treat but never again, I like my teeth where they are thank you.

All in all a lovely establishment with the most filling and mouthwatering desserts around
