A post or three ago I blogged about my new Totoro top which I received from the very lovely Mesallashae however that was a (very nice) little extra that I received. The reason I contacted her was that I wanted to purchase her cup designs since they’re so cute and would be a great add to my already fine collection of cups. There are many kawaii designs to choose from however I decided on the ‘Fangirl’ cup and ‘That Shipment’ which has a design that most can relate to when talking about your ship.
Being a fangirl I require a cup that tells people so, because they might not know that I’m a a fangirl and of course they need to know this information. A fangirl is defined as a female fan, especially one who is obsessive about comics, film, music or science fiction. I read this and thought ‘mn, sort of…’ however, Urban Dictionary (the dictionary for the man-on-the-go) defines it as (by the way, while reading the definition, imagine David Attenborough’s voice) ‘a rabid breed of human female (‘rabid breed’ though) who is obsessed with either a fictional character or an actor. Fangirls congregate at anime conventions and livejournal. Have been known to glomp(!), grope and tackle when encountering said obsessions.’ Personally I’ve never ‘glomped’ or ‘groped’ but I can relate to this meaning just as much as the first.
‘That Shipment’ is an obvious reference to ‘shipping’ which is initially derived from the word relationship, is the desire by fans for two or more people, either real-life or fictional characters to be in a relationship, romantic or otherwise. It is considered a general term for fans’ emotional involvement with the ongoing development of a relationship in a work of fiction. Shipping can involve virtually any kind of relationship: from the well-known and established, to the ambiguous or those undergoing development, and even to the highly improbable or blatantly impossible eg Piccolo and Gohan. it’s not going to happen and I need to accept it. Le Sigh.
I love the design of the cups they’re so cute and unique. The font is perfect and just the general look of them. I’m so glad I purchased them and thank you Mesallashae for my adorable little top too!!
Whilst your here shall I show some other items I have in my room? Well as you can see from m bed I have tonnes and tonnes of anime plushies. I think my room reflects my likes quite nicely. Thus far I have chibi moon, Vulpix, Vegeta, Goku, Makoto and Rin plushies. I hope to extend this collection but once I have money to throw away and when I get a bigger room.
My posters are a mixture of comic and anime. My favourite one is definitely my Wilcard Clothing Oh Japan! poster. Every morning I wake up and reminded of my goal!
I also love my window sill. It’s a bit messy but very kawaii and pink. It has all the essentials such and Primark Candles, giant pocky sticks and a welsh love spoon that Dan gave to me on our first anniversary.
I also wanted to briefly mention my tops. For this little mini tour I’m wearing ‘Don’t touch my with those f#cked up yaoi hands’ which was a little gem I found at my first ever comic con a year ago and also my ‘notice me senpai’ top from my first ever GeekedFest event in Newport. I love Wildcard Clothing and I shall definitely be making more purchases with them in the future, just watch this space.
Hope you enjoyed my mini bedroom tour! I would’ve showed you the rest of the room, but it’s a complete mess.
Until next time
