I’m loving pineapple print at the moment. I know it follows from last and I’m not going lie, I didn’t quite ‘get it’ back then but this year I’m all over it!! Primark has great items displaying the pineapple print.
Here I’ve decided to pair it with my white trousers from River Island which will be a must have this summer (see previous post on my white trousers here). I’m currently searching for a pair of white crop but instead purchased some nice culottes for the summer which will keep me cool during those high temperatures, and also they’ll be perfect for Ibiza in September (post coming soon, and when I mean soon I mean a month or two). I paired this t-shirt with a light denim jacket as well as my pink shoes (which you can also view here), another fabulous sale find, see previous article for more details.
As you can see here I look positively knackered in these images, well, I was presented with one of the hardest tasks I’ve had to face this year. Looking after children. I’m not lying when I say it aged me terribly; bags under my eyes, gaunt expression and to top it all off I lost my wand (which took the form of a buttercup flower). I didn’t realise until I started playing with the children how little imagine I have. Within 5 minutes of playing with Navaeh I had been a forest fairy as well as a part time pirate fairy and we had found 8 crosses, honestly whenever I turned my back she had found a new cross in the mud with stick (you can fit the pieces together). I lost Tayen once but found him eventually. He’s starting to talk now so when we were given them piggy backs on the way home (he had Navaeh and I had Tayen) Navaeh would tell him to run and a second afterwards I would hear a little voice on top of my head telling me to ‘run’. No hope in hell was I going to run!!!
Unfortunately on this day I also broke the filter on my lens, luckily the lens didn’t break. I nearly died but I got it fixed so no harm done.
And that, ladies and gentlemen was my first attempt at babysitting. What did I learn from this experience? Children are hard work and big respect to all those single mothers out there!
