Floral photography is my greatest passion. I have a portfolio of over 500 images consisting of different types of plants, trees and fungi. My dream is to one day to become a well known Floral Photographer. I’ve also started selling my images online but I still need to get the website looking a lot stronger before I start selling. I hope to aim at least sell one or two images before the end of the year but with a full time job, the gym, this blog and other various activities it’s hard to find time to give the website some much needed TLC. Luckily it’s a joint website with my friend so at least I’m not on my own trying to sell.
I went home two weeks ago and my first port of call is the Botanical Gardens of Wales which is where I usually take images, as well as my parents back garden. I will eventually create a post on how to take floral imagery but like anything to you take up you’re always learning new tricks, so until I feel like I’ve perfected the art of Floral Photography that blog idea will have to stay on hold for a while.
My favourite flowers include tulips, foxgloves and daffodils which I unfortunately missed to capture with my lens this season. I was unfortunately far too busy settling in in work and also finding the time. I hope in the future I can display more images on the blog but until then please enjoy these images. All images were taken with my Canon 60D
Feedback would be greatly appreciated on this post as I’m always trying to improve my technique.
I love the depth of field in this image and the minimal amount of colour. Blue and green compliment each other well.
